Short-term Programs
STEP 1: APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION

- Scan of a filled “Application for Admission”
- Scan of your passport for travel abroad
- Notarized translation of your passport for travel abroad (except China)
- See the list of courses available
Total number of credits for courses should be 9-30 per semester.
It takes 14 days to process your application. Our coordinator will contact you using the contact information you mentioned in your “Application for Admission”.
STEP 2: SUBMITTING THE DOCUMENTS
- Fill in a “Learning Agreement” (download)
- Certify your “Learning Agreement” in the international office
- Fill in a “Language Assessment Sheet” (download)
- Certify your “Language Assessment Sheet” with a signature of a lecturer and a head of a chair
- Let your doctor to fill in a «Admission Medical Examination Report» (download)
- Filled “Admission Medical Examination Report” must be certified with a doctor’s signature and a seal of a medical institution

- Scan of a filled and certified “Language Assessment Sheet”
- Scan of a filled and certified “Admission Medical Examination Report”
STEP 3: TRANSCRIPT AND A LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION
- Certify your transcript with a signature and a seal in an international office of your university
- Write an essay about yourself
- Prepare a letter of recommendation from a coordinator in your university

- An essay
- Scan of a recommendation letter
STEP 4: APPLICATION FOR VISA INVITATION
In order to enter the Russian Federation you need to achieve a student visa. The required document for visa issuing is an official visa invitation, provided by the Russian Federal Migration Service (UFMS).
To get an official visa invitation you need to:
- Fill in an “Application for Invitation” (download)

- Scan of a filled “Application for Invitation”
- Scan of your previous Russian visa (if any)
- Your digital photo ( .jpeg)
Our coordinator will send you an invitation to an address you wrote in an “Application for Invitation”.
STEP 5: HOUSING APPLICATION. MEDICAL CERTIFICATE
To enter the Russian Federation you must take a medical examination in your home country:
- Do HIV-test (use international certificate in English)
- Do a chest X-ray (certificate in English)
- Fill in a “Housing Application” (download)

- Scan of a filled “Housing Application”
- Scan of a chest X-ray certificate (proving that you have no tuberculosis)
NOTICE: HIV-test is valid for 3 months
STEP 6: GETTING AN INVITATION. GETTING A VISA
Your invitation will be send to you via the way you have mentioned in an “Application for Invitation”. In order to get your student visa you need to address Russian Consulate or Embassy at your home country.
When you get your visa, you need to send a scan of your visa to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
STEP 7: AIRPORTPICK-UPREQUEST
You can purchase an airplane ticket to Khabarovsk right after your visa is ready. FESTU volunteers will meet you at the airport according to your “Airport pick-up request”.
