FESTU online education resources overview

FESTU continues distance education to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection. Educational activities are carried out online. University uses electronic and distance learning technologies.

In this regard, more than ever, various electronic educational resources are relevant for training. FESTU Scientific and Technical Library prepared an overview of these resources for students and teachers.

FESTU graduates are in high employer demand

FESTU rate of graduates who received the direction for a further career in 2019 is 100% - one of the highest in Russia.  Press-office  of “Social Navigator” of IIA “Russia today” announced a Russian universities graduates demand ranking in 2019.

International Sybersecurity Contest

A team of FESTU students took part took part in the "Russkiy Defense Game" -  an international information security competition, hosted by the Far Eastern Federal University on Russkiy Island (Vladivostok). The team included Evgeny Kan, Eduard Gudz, Alexey Volkov (group 24K) and Denis Bridko, Artem Zubkov (group 943).

Back from Japan: FESTU students have finished their short-term internship

March 3-17, 2020, Nagaoka University of Technology hosted the internship program for FESTU students Goncharuk Valeria and Nalobin Egor (group 941 Institute of Natural Sciences), who are studying on the educational program 09.03.03 “Applied Informatics” of the “Computer Engineering and Computer Graphics" department.

Significant Project Approved

On December 2012 Far Eastern State Transport University sent the results of the research project “Railway Infrastructure Export and Import Potentials Increase by the Extension of Baykal-Amur Railroad Traffic Capacity. Complex Research and Scientifically Based Recommendations” to the Russian Federation Ministry of Transport, the initial customer for the project.

Research for the development of Baykal-Amur and Trans-Siberian Railroads export potentials is completed

In December 2012 Far Eastern State Transport University finished the research titled “Railway Infrastructure Export and Import Potentials Increase by the Extension of Baykal-Amur Railroad Traffic Capacity. Complex Research and Scientifically Based Recommendations”.

The state contract for this research was tendered in the frames of the national program “Modernization of Russian Transport System”.

Far Eastern State Transport University took part in tender and triumphed, though all participants are highly qualified and experienced on the matter.  Through its more than 70-year history FESTU obtained rich experience of railway research and development works. University scientists work tightly with manufacturers and introduce their innovative technologies at the railways. Tender committee had no doubt about the high qualification of FESTU scientists. This triumph came as the acknowledgement for university achievements in the railway sphere. FESTU tender application was highly appraised and rated twice as much as the nearest competitor.

The 5-th International Symposium For Railroad Universities in Europe & Asia

May 31st – June 1st, 2012. Kazakh Academy of Transport and Communication (Kazakhstan) hosted the 5-th International Simposium For Railroad Universities in Europe & Asia.
